Family Portraiture - Kauai 2020

Going back to the first family session I did in 2020, it was actually just a random family that approached me on the beach to ask if I could take a picture of them with their phone. I said sure but asked if I could take a few with my good camera too! Honestly I was sitting there just in awe of the beautiful light wishing I could photograph someone and along they came.

I look forward to traveling back to Kauai again someday and would LOVE more opportunities to photograph families or couples when I am there! That would be such a dream for me.

Styled Session - Ali's Best Friend shoot for her 13th Birthday

Hello 2020! I can’t believe we are already in the middle of February and I am finally getting to blogging my work from last year!

On a whim when my oldest daughter had her best friends over for her 13th Birthday, I said, “let’s do a little best friends photo shoot!” So they went into my studio closet and each found a dress and accessories. We did some in the studio first, but because it was SO nice out we headed outside for a few more. Ali’s Birthday is March 18th, so year to year the weather is always different. I loved the outdoor setting for this shoot, the neutral greys and brown are the perfect background to make the subject pop! I would love to do more shoots like this in the future and love the idea of a best friends shoot!

Of course my two little girls had to get in on a few shots of themselves as well!

Sibling Session - Miss L, Miss H and Miss R

I just love photographing these sweet sisters. We snuck in this little mini session for their family Christmas card when they were in town last fall! Aren’t they such gorgeous girls?!
