Edwardian wedding dress - Styled Bridal Shoot

I found this amazing dress online from one of my fav antique stores, Kinder Surprise Antiques in Davidson, SK. So it inspired me to dream up a photoshoot with my favourite redhead, Jordan Hines and my talented niece Madi Hope, owner/hair & makeup artist at Homestead Salon & Studios.

It was such a great night, minus the horse stampede and mosquitos, needless to say Jordan handled it all so professionally. If you are looking for the perfect redhead for your next shoot, you should get in touch with this gal!

Also how amazing is Madi with hair and makeup! She was super creative with this look. You should definitely book her for your upcoming family photos, weddings, grad sessions. I love every chance I get to work along side her.

We had some fun with an old bath tub I picked up on a road trip with my hubby last summer! Such a fun new prop!

Shoot & Share Contest Results

I'm repeating myself here, but I wanted to post a blog and with better quality images.

This year I entered 50 images in the shoot and share contest. Out of 332,768 photos worldwide from 141 countries with over 49 million votes, 7 of my images made it to the Finalist round, which is the top 3.5%, 12 made the top 10% round, 8 made the top 20% and 4 made the top 30%.

Even though I didn't place in the top 100 in their categories, I feel proud of how I did, especially up against all the AMAZINGLY talented photographers that entered the contest. The best part of it all is how inspired and motivated I feel to improve upon my work and push myself creatively. I can't wait to get out and start taking more pics this year!!! Here are my images.
